I'VE BEEN TAGGED!

Well, I have been tagged by my friend Jann @ A Vintage Heart

The rules of the game: 1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog. 2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird. 3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs. 4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Now please remember, I'm still new to this blogging world and to this also. So here goes...

1. I got perfect attendence from 3rd grade through 11th grade in school.

2. Danced at a Atlanta Falcons football game at half-time along with about 300 other girls from Jazzercise.

4. Worked as a hairdresser for 18 years.

5. Me and my best friend modled some suits for a fashion catalog flyer.

6. Went on a ghost hunt.

7. My husband and I were at the Antiques Roadshow and managed to get on T.V. (in the background)

2. Cindy @ The Plum TreeAntiques

3. Sanya @ In The Pink Antiques

4. Tammy @ The Other Side Of Me

VINTAGE WEDDINGS

As we all know, June is the month for weddings. My husband and I also got married in June. So in this post I will show some of my vintage wedding things.

1960's cathedral length wedding veil

1900's wedding shoes

Lovely 1960's wedding gown

Some vintage earrings to go with your wedding gown

Close up of bead work

1950's beaded wedding veil

This is one of my own collection. This wedding gown was worn in 1939, and believe it or not it takes a proud spot in my dining room.

JUST ADOPTED

This past weekend we went to the Atlanta Humane Society and adopted this precious little boy. He is 8 weeks old and just about as cute as they come. He is a Retriever/Shepherd mix. (Or so they say) Regardless, he is our newest member of the family and soon to be a "run around" play pal for his big brother, Austin. Presley is a proud mother, and is understanding what it's like having a "little one" getting into EVERYTHING! Just had to share a few photos. Hope this puts a smile on your face!

GIVE AWAY!

As you know I'm still new at this "blog" thing. My sweet friend Dawn suggested that I have a "give-away" to help get my name out there for a lot more people to see. So I am doing just that! And guess what? My birthday is coming up, but someone else is going to get the present!

I will be giving away a goodie box filled with surprises, including these vintage "Whiting & Davis" cameo earrings on their original card. To register for this drawing, please click on comments below, and leave me one. And if you do a post about my give away on your blog, you will be entered twice! Iwill be drawing a winning name on my birthday, May 30th .

This is a picture of the earrings I will be giving away, but the other items will be a SURPRISE! And if you love vintage items like I do, you will not be disappointed.

Please don't forget to leave me a comment and contact information if you are not a blogger. And let me know if you posted about me on your blog.

I just love surprises, don't you?

I SURVIVED!

Well, I survived my daughters birthday, skating party, (which by the way, YES I did skate!) Mothers Day, and now it is time to get back to business.

I will be adding even more items to my etsy shop, so please check it out. Click on faithsvintagevanity at the bottom of the photos in MY ETSY SHOP, and that will take you directly into my store showing all of my items for sale right now. I have been busy taking pictures and even listing some items on e-bay also.

Old perfume bottles are a perfect way to "dress up" your vanity or dresser.

Red is a great color, and one of the most popular colors to collect in vintage rhinestone jewelry.

This set truly says:" Look at Me"!

What better way to dress up your shoes than vintage shoe clips.

Great for any secial occasion.

Hats are great collectables and you can use them in decorating to give that special vintage/antique touch to a room.

Here is a peek at my some of my own collection.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS

My Little Tomboy...

My Little Princess...

Our precious little girl is having a birthday. She is going to be seven years old. (I can't believe it!) We will be doing the skating party thing this weekend. I might even put a pair on and skate myself. On second thought, I might not! Oh well, I know it will be fun. When you have the best of both worlds, it always is.

Happy Birthday Presley!
