HATS,HATS,AND MORE HATS!

Well, now that I sold my jewelry, I'm putting together a lot of hats to sell on e-bay. I have over 60 hats, so I've decided to try to sell them in smaller lots. The first lot I have put together has 17 hats in it. They age from the 1940's-1960's. Only one I think is from the 1980's. Most all of them have their original label inside them. And again, I hand picked all these myself,so they are all special to me. I'm going to bite my lip and list these after I do this post. Boy, this is hard to do! I hope you enjoy looking.

BITTER-SWEET GOOD-BYE

Well, I did it! I sold my entire antique/vintage jewelry lot, as shown in the last posting. I sold it on E-bay to a woman who will re-sale it, but admitted that she will probally keep some for herself. That means that I will have to start wrapping and boxing up all that jewelry. I don't mind, because that puts me that much closer to starting my NEW business.

It is very bitter-sweet though. I actually cried when I found out that it had sold. It's very emotional for me. After all, I hand-picked all of these pieces myself. I will still sell vintage items in my Etsy Store, because I still have a lot of stuff. I think I even still have some jewelry left in another box that I completely forgot about.

Oh well, off to put together my next lot to sell. I'm thinking vintage evening purses.

WOW! NOW THAT'S SOME JEWELRY

Sorry I have been out of the loop lately, but I have been extremely busy with all kinds of stuff , including getting Presley ready to start back to school, and researching my new business adventure (which I hope to reveal soon). In order to start that new business, I need to sell my antiques. And I am starting with my Jewelry. Below are some pictures of my jewelry that I have just listed on E-BAY. MY CREATIVE SIDE... Part one

Some of you may not know that about 10-12 years ago, I started making Victorian Lampshades. I have not created any new ones in awhile ,because after Presley came along I just haven't had a lot of extra time. But I have been thinking about starting some new ones. They are a little on the expensive side to make because the materials are expensive for me to buy, and each one takes about 10-12 hours to create from start to finish. I only use the best materials I can find and the beads are made from glass. Some are very large and heavy.

I am always on the look-out for vintage lamps to "crown" with one of my shades. I went to a yard sale a few weeks back, and could not resist a pair of cherub lamps from the 40's-50's era. I couldn't pass them up. Other people might see "old","out of style" lamps, but I see a beautiful creation to "crown" that lamp with. Maybe a little paint, faux finish, clean-up and "WA-LA!" What a beauty!

This is one of my own collection. This wedding gown was worn in 1939, and believe it or not it takes a proud spot in my dining room.

JUST ADOPTED

This past weekend we went to the Atlanta Humane Society and adopted this precious little boy. He is 8 weeks old and just about as cute as they come. He is a Retriever/Shepherd mix. (Or so they say) Regardless, he is our newest member of the family and soon to be a "run around" play pal for his big brother, Austin. Presley is a proud mother, and is understanding what it's like having a "little one" getting into EVERYTHING! Just had to share a few photos. Hope this puts a smile on your face!
